Drop-Off

Stop by our store on Monday-Saturday from 10AM to 6PM or on Sunday from 10AM to 4PM and speak to one of our helpful cashiers. If assistance is needed, they will be more than happy to help you unload your donation. If assistance is not needed, simply bring your donation to the counter.

Free Pickup

For free pickup service, contact us at (515) 262-4740 on Monday-Friday from 10AM to 3PM to speak with one of our friendly pickup-service representatives or email donations@davdesmoines.com. We will gladly help you schedule a pickup that is convenient for you.

For free pickup service, contact us at (515) 262-4740 on Monday-Friday from 10AM to 3PM to speak with one of our friendly pickup-service representatives or email donations@davdesmoines.com. We will gladly help you schedule a pickup that is convenient for you.

Get Started with Your Donation

    While we do accept most donated items, there are some items we do not accept, including:

    As of 11/17/22 we are temporarily not accepting furniture donations

    • Entertainment centers

    • Headboards, with built in shelving

    • Tube televisions (unless they have built in VCR/DVD)

    • Waterbeds, waterbed headboards or pieces to waterbeds

    • Computers older than 10 years (no non-flat monitors)

    • Encyclopedias

    • Any chemicals

    • Pianos or organs

    • Any furniture with excessive damage to where it isn’t saleable or with any water damage

    • Firearms/explosives

    • Tires/old car parts

    • Dehumidifiers

    • Office desks

    • Food/drink

    • Carpet pieces that are excessively soiled or damaged
